BookWorks GalleryRenaissance, a book and print arts exhibition at Asheville BookWorks on view through April 25.

Opening Reception: Friday March 6th 2015, 5:30 – 7:30 PM, on view through April 25, 2015.

Asheville’s Book and Print Arts Collective has invited Chattanooga’s Book Arts @ The Open Press and Raleigh’s Triangle Book Arts to participate in a this exhibition.

Renaissance will include artists’ books and prints created by members belonging to each of these three groups. The theme, Renaissance, literally translates as rebirth and can be interpreted in many ways. It can represent a situation or period of time when there is a new interest in something that has not been popular in a long time, a period of new growth or activity, or period of vigorous artistic and intellectual activity that celebrates rebirth. It can be a new interest or rebirthing/revisiting an older idea or theme.
