Description: Come spend a day making unique paper Valentines for friends and family while also giving to those in need.
Margaret will donate her teaching time, BookWorks will offer the class for a vastly discounted rate and all the proceeds from the class will be donated to Downtown Welcome Table. Downtown Welcome Table rests on the assumption that food is a primary means of grace, a way to love and connect. It is a homemade meal served on abundant plates by an attentive wait staff. It’s Valentines All Around!
This workshop is appropriate for all ages/levels, including children over 8 as long as they are accompanied by an adult.
Materials to bring:
- lots of decorative paper and scraps (including fun recycled papers)
card stock or other heavy paper
- glue stick
- pencils: lead, colored, or watercolor
- bone folder
Optional: Origami paper, fabric scraps, water based paints, brushes, stamps, stamp pads, hole punches and anything else you have on hand to bring and use to make Valentines!
