Perry Obee

Perry Obee has an MFA in Painting from Western Connecticut State University and a BFA in Painting and Printmaking from Ohio Wesleyan University.  His lithographs have been exhibited both regionally and nationally and are held in both private and museum collections, including The Slater Memorial Museum and the Print Club of Albany. Since 2007 he has apprenticed as a Lithography Printer at Milestone Graphics, the oldest fine art printmaking studio in Connecticut, where he worked with a Tamarind Master Printer. In 2012 Perry was a recipient of the State of Connecticut’s Individual Artist Grant in the area of painting, and he is the recipient of a 2016 Regional Artist Project Grant from the North Carolina Arts Council for his work in Lithography printmaking.  He has been a part-time faculty member at the University of Connecticut and Southern Connecticut State University where he taught painting, drawing and art history.  He recently relocated to western North Carolina and his studio and printshop is located in the Marshall High Studios building.
